"本研究は，小児看護学実習前の学生の手指衛生の現状を明らかにし，通常の手指衛生と，幼児用に開発された手あらい歌を使用した手指衛生を行い，洗い残しに差があるかを明らかにすることを目的とした．学生は，排泄後や食事の前に手指衛生を行なっているものの，石けんを使用していないことが多かった．また，手指衛生の洗い残し部位について，蛍光剤とブラックライトを用いて確認したところ，手洗い歌を用いた手指衛生の所要時間が有意に長く，洗い残し部位は有意に少なかったが，所要時間と洗い残し部位数に相関は認められず，意識して洗わなければ洗い残すことが示唆された．洗い残しやすい部位は，拇指，指の付け根，指先であり，左手に比べ右手の洗い残しが多かった．感染看護への興味や手指衛生に関する意識による洗い残しの差は認められなかった．洗い残しやすい部位を意識しながら確実に手指衛生を行ない，正しい方法を定着させる働きかけが必要である．",
